How to Combine PDFs on iPhone
Put separate PDFs and images into one ordered file without moving to a computer.

Open a PDF in Preview, show the page thumbnails, touch and hold a thumbnail, then insert pages from another file. Reorder the thumbnails and save the finished document.
Insert the other file
On current iPhone software, Preview can add PDF pages, images, blank pages, or fresh scans to an open document.
- Open the first PDF in Preview.
- Tap the page count to show thumbnails.
- Touch and hold a thumbnail.
- Choose Insert from File and select the next PDF.
Put pages in order
Drag thumbnails above or below one another, then rename the result before sharing. Keep the originals until you check every page.
Common questions
Can I add a scanned page?
Yes. The thumbnail menu can insert newly scanned pages.
Can I combine photos and PDFs?
Yes. Preview can insert an image file into the PDF.
