Roku Remote Volume Not Working? Try This

If you use a Roku streaming player, the phone may control the player but not the TV. Enable HDMI-CEC and Roku TV-control settings, update the Roku, and test volume again.
Know what the app controls
A Roku TV has volume built into the Roku system. A separate Roku player may need HDMI-CEC to pass power and volume commands to the television.
- Confirm whether you have a Roku TV or player.
- Open Settings > System > Control other devices.
- Enable available TV power and volume controls.
- Check the TV’s HDMI-CEC setting.
If buttons still do nothing
Update Roku software, reconnect the phone on the same Wi-Fi, and remember that some TV and player combinations do not expose every control.
