How to Type on Roku With Your iPhone Keyboard
Use the phone keyboard for searches and sign-ins instead of clicking one letter at a time.

Connect the iPhone remote to the Roku on the same Wi-Fi, select a text field on the TV, then tap the keyboard icon in the remote app and type.
Open the keyboard
The keyboard appears when the Roku is connected and a supported text field is active.
- Join the same Wi-Fi as the Roku.
- Connect to the device.
- Move the TV cursor into a search or sign-in field.
- Tap the keyboard icon and type.
If text does not appear
Try a different text field, reconnect the device, and check Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Control by mobile apps. Some channel screens do not accept mobile keyboard input.
Common questions
Can I paste a password?
Some fields accept pasted text, but secure or channel-controlled fields may block it.
Why is the keyboard icon missing?
The app may not be connected, or the selected Roku screen may not support text input.
